Bill Curry with over thirty years experience in the
jewelry industry, in 1999 decided to open his own
family store. Bill had been in Troy for over fifteen
years managing the operations of the City’s most
prestigious jewelers. In 1984 he was hired as
General Manager for one of Detroit’s oldest,
largest and nationally respected jewelry stores,
Sidney Krandall and Sons. In 1991 he joined one
of the country’s more elite jewelry firms Jules R.
Schubot, first as Director of Operations and later
becoming Vice President. With his background,
the strong support and encouragement of his
wife Marie Collins Curry, they purchased the
Wachler Horwitz jewelry shop located in our
building since the 1970’s.
The name changed to Collins Curry and the
showroom was enlarged, but the tradition of
quality service, custom designs and fine jewelry
continued. As our clients know you can expect
friendly prompt service whether you need a watch
battery or a dramatic diamond necklace. Bill
travels around the world to procure the unique
designs you will discover in their showcases to
complement their own custom designs. You will
find creations in Platinum, Gold, and Sterling
Silver, enhanced by diamonds and gems of any
size imaginable. Bill encourages you to stop by,
if you haven’t yet, and get to know the entire staff
of Collins Curry Jewelers.
